Over 20 years ago, Annette started her ceramic career as a hobby but soon found that her work was in such demand that it turned into a full time profession. She has won many awards for her work including the "Peggy Award"- the highest award given in professional ceramic art design.

A native Charlestonian, Annette works from her home studio. She does all facets of the ceramic art herself from casting the molds, cleaning greenware, painting , gazing and firing.

Annette’s rendition of Charleston’s Rainbow Row on lamps and canister sets can be found in homes throughout the country.

Sandy Allan’s hand painted gifts are very popular throughout Charleston and the country.

Her key holders , flower pots and wooden light switches were handmade exclusively for Charleston Accents.

Each of the products show the pastel colors of Charleston’s historic homes, as well as , the vivid colors of Charleston’s spring bloom.
